Wildfire Status:

The Rail Ridge Fire, which ignited on September 2, 2024, due to lightning, is currently active in Grant and Crook County, Oregon. The fire has spread over 162,278 acres and is reported to be 30% contained. As of the latest update, evacuations are in effect in the surrounding areas to ensure the safety of residents. Fire management operations are being coordinated by the California Complex Interagency Incident Management Team 10, with a total of 1,190 personnel assigned to combat the blaze.

Firefighting efforts include the deployment of 24 crews, 92 engines, and 25 dozers, along with various aircraft to assist in aerial firefighting operations.
