The Ruby Fire, currently active in North Cascades National Park, Washington, has burned approximately 1,336 acres since it was ignited by lightning on August 9, 2024. The fire is located on the rugged slopes of Ruby Mountain, near Diablo and Ross Lake, presenting challenges for containment efforts due to the steep terrain and hazards.
