Ruby Fire (WANCP)

Wildfire Status:

The Ruby Fire, ignited by lightning, is currently active on the slopes of Ruby Mountain within North Cascades National Park, Whatcom County, Washington. As of the latest update, the fire has spread over 1,300 acres, with no containment achieved so far. Fire crews are facing challenges due to the rugged terrain and steep slopes, which complicate access to the fire site. Currently, there are 42 personnel assigned to the incident, and the estimated date for full containment is projected for October 31, 2024.
