Wildfire Status:
The Logan Fire, currently spanning 288 acres, was detected on September 9 and is located on the south side of Government Creek, north of Logan Creek Road. The fire is being managed by a Type 4 Incident Management organization, which has taken over command of the situation. Due to effective previous firefighting efforts, combined with favorable weather conditions, the fire is not expected to grow any further. Recent rainfall has significantly reduced fire activity, causing it to revert to a smoldering state.
As of now, the evacuation order for the Edwardsburg area has been lifted, and no area closures or Temporary Flight Restrictions are in effect. Fire agencies are actively monitoring the situation, focusing on specific needs as they arise, but the overall outlook remains positive with no immediate threats to surrounding areas. The terrain and fuel conditions are currently also favorable for continued containment efforts, ensuring that firefighters can maintain control over the situation.
