The Watch Fire, which has been burning approximately 30 miles east of Globe, Arizona, is now reported to be fully contained at 2,162 acres. Fire activity has remained minimal since its inception on July 10, 2024. Most of the fire's activity is currently confined to the interior, where unburned materials continue to smolder, producing visible smoke. Firefighters are actively patrolling the area to monitor for any signs of re-ignition or increased activity.

In terms of response, a total of 145 personnel are currently assigned to the incident. They are focused on securing fire lines and assisting with local initial attack operations. As of now, all evacuation orders have been lifted, and evacuation shelters remain open at the San Carlos High School, Apache Gold Casino, and Michael Noline Memorial, with transportation options available for those in need.

Weather conditions have been favorable for firefighting efforts, contributing to the successful containment of the fire. The absence of significant heat sources detected by aerial surveillance and ground crews indicates that the risk of flare-ups is low.
