Garnet Fire declared fully contained and secured at 70 acres with continuous containment line surrounding the perimeter. Final update issued as mop-up operations completed and fire perimeter fully secured. Both Green Mountain and Garnet fires now closed.

Garnet Fire reaches 60% containment at 70 acres with full containment line surrounding the perimeter. Lightning-caused fire prevented from further spread as crews conduct mop-up operations. Road closures remain on Keno Creek Road, Kennedy Creek Road, and Elevation Mountain Fire Road.

Green Mountain Fire (6 miles south of Ovando) declared 100% contained at 18 acres and transitioned to patrol status. Final update for this incident as fire is fully secured with containment line.

Garnet Fire remains active at 124 acres with 0% containment, 12 miles southwest of Ovando. Fire crews actively engaging under full suppression strategy, taking advantage of cool, moist weather to extend hand lines and directly engage the fire.

Green Mountain Fire increases to 40% containment at 18 acres. Crews have successfully lined the fire with containment lines and hose lays, continuing mop-up operations to extinguish residual heat pockets with water tender support.
