2025 - Bear Creek Fire Group is the largest wildfire this season in Alaska, burning 13 miles northwest of Healy.

Thunderstorms on June 19, 2025 created lightning strikes that sparked fires across Alaska. Three fires in this group started that day.
Bear Creek Fire, Saint George Creek Fire, and Bonnifield Creek Fire. The fire endangered communities along the Parks Highway and the rural community of Gold King.
Denali Borough issued evacuation orders on June 22. The fire crossed the highway and closed the highway for several hours. Saint George Creek Fire and Bonnifield Creek Fire merged on June 23 (now referred to as the Saint George Creek Fire).
At 12:00 on July 23rd, all evacuations and Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) were removed on the Saint George Fire and Bear Creek Fire.
