Wildfire Status:

The Stranger Creek II wildfire, currently active in the United States, has burned approximately 66 acres and is reported to be 90% contained. The fire originated on August 18, 2024, and as of the latest update, there are 79 personnel actively engaged in firefighting efforts. The incident commander overseeing the response is Shane Roth, with Nolan Roth serving as the trainee incident commander. The estimated containment date for the fire is projected for August 31, 2024.

Fire agencies are focusing on monitoring and controlling the remaining perimeter of the fire. The current situation indicates minimal fire activity, with the fire primarily backing, creeping, and smoldering. The fuels involved include medium logging slash, brush, and timber litter, which have contributed to the fire's behavior.
