Wildfire Status:

As of July 10, 2024, the Boulder View Fire, which ignited on June 27 east of Carefree, Arizona, has reached 99% containment, covering a total area of 3,711 acres. The Central West Zone Type 3 Incident Management team has transferred command of the fire back to the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. Currently, an engine crew remains active to mop up and address any lingering hotspots, especially along the southeast flank of the fire and near structures. The majority of resources have been released, with only minimal personnel remaining on-site to ensure continued monitoring.

The fire's activity has significantly diminished, with reports indicating minimal fire behavior and only smoldering vegetation within the established perimeter. All evacuation orders and alerts for the Boulder View Fire area have been lifted, and local communities have returned to a READY status.
