Wildfire Status:

As of July 10, 2024, the Boulder View Fire, located approximately five miles east of Carefree, Arizona, is 99% contained, having burned 3,711 acres in the Sonoran Desert. The Central West Zone Type 3 Incident Management team has transferred command back to the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. Currently, an engine crew remains on-site to extinguish any lingering hotspots along the southeast flank of the fire and protect nearby structures. All other resources have been released, indicating a significant reduction in active firefighting efforts.
