On July 23, 2026, the U.S. Wildland Fire Service Great Basin Unit 1 in Boise, ID, in close coordination with the BLM Boise District, responded to several lightning-caused fires across the unit. One of these starts was the Duncan Fire, located approximately 35 miles south of Bruneau, ID. 

Great Basin Complex Incident Management Team 3 briefly helped with management of the incident but will transition the fire back to the local unit beginning Monday July 27 at 6:00AM. Please direct questions to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Boise District Office.
