McAllister Fire 2025
McAllister Fire is the 2nd-largest wildfire this season in Montana, burning 29 miles southwest of Belgrade.

The McAllister Fire was reported around 5:15pm, Saturday August 16th. The cause of the fire was lightning.
As of Wednesday, 8/27, the fire is estimated at 3,560 acres with 95% containment.
Crews are working around the perimeter patrolling the line.
Resources will continue operations with the objective to creating a cold, secure buffer around the entire perimeter working for about the next week.
The evacuation warning has been lifted as of 8/20/25 for the areas between Bradley Creek, Shining Mountains West and US Highway 287 (between mile markers 61 and 64). There are no current road closures in place.
With moisture coming the next few days, crews will be patrolling and doing suppression repair.
