2024 Valley Fire (IDIDS)

Wildfire Status:

The Valley Fire, reported on October 4, 2024, approximately 1 mile east of Boise, Idaho, has burned through 9,904 acres and is currently 95% contained. The fire was actively burning in the Boise Foothills, primarily in grassy and timber fuels, and was very visible from the east side of Boise. Thanks to the prompt response from firefighting teams, including the Bureau of Land Management and local fire departments, the fire was prevented from reaching nearby homes.
