Munger Shaw Fire (MNMNS)

Wildfire Status:

The Munger Shaw Fire, located approximately ten miles southeast of Cotton, Minnesota, was detected on May 12, 2025. Currently, the fire has burned a total of 1,259 acres and is reported to be 95% contained. While the majority of the fire perimeter is secured, there are ongoing challenges with smoldering hotspots within the fire's interior, which continue to emit smoke. The containment efforts are supported by local Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) personnel, who remain committed to monitoring the situation daily.
