The Gunsight Fire is an active wildfire located 16 miles south of Kanab, Utah, on lands managed by the BLM Arizona Strip District. The fire was caused by lightning and was reported on June 26. As of June 28, resources on the fire include 2 Type 4 engines, 3 Type 6 engines, and 1 water tender. Fire managers are asking the public to avoid the area to allow crews and resources to access and mitigate the fire. The fire is currently at 100% of the perimeter and is being actively managed by BLM Arizona Strip District crews.
