The Romero Fire, which ignited on July 19, 2024, has been successfully contained at 100%. The fire burned approximately 7,392 acres of grass and brush located north of the Freeman Fire. As a result of the containment efforts, fire agencies will no longer provide updates on the situation.
Currently, there are 127 personnel involved in the response to the Romero Fire. The effective firefighting strategies implemented have led to a complete encirclement of the fire, thus ensuring no further spread.
