Twins Fire has burned 112 acres, burning 20 miles south of Hebbronville.

The Twins Fire started in mid-morning on March 16, 2026, approximately 21 miles southeast of Hebbronville, Texas and was initially responded to by local fire departments. Texas A&M Forest Service was requested to provide assistance and provide mop up support. Local ranchers had already lined the fire with a disc line. The fire is currently in joint command between Texas A&M Forest Service and local fire departments.
Forward progression was stopped around noon on Monday, March 16. , crews are continuing to improve containment line. Containment of the fire has increased to 85%.
