Armstrong Oaks Fire 2026

The Armstrong Oaks Fire started in the afternoon of March 19, 2026, approximately 22 miles southeast of Falfurrias, TX and was initially responded to by local fire departments. Texas A&M Forest Service was requested to provide assistance with aircraft, heavy equipment and firefighters. The fire is currently in joint command between Texas A&M Forest Service and local firefighters.

Good progress is being made on the fire, there are no new spot fires. Crews will return to the fire, Friday March 20, 2026.
