Twin Sisters Fire Active 2026

Twin Sisters Update July 26- Located approximately 10 miles northwest of Judith Gap.  The fire, estimated at 50 acres, is burning in heavy timber and is located in an area with difficult ground access.  Resources assigned to the fire include Air Attack, Large Air Tankers, one Type 1 Helicopter, handcrews, and Type 6 Engines from Montana DNRC, Judith Basin County, and the Forest Service.  Hot, dry, and windy weather will increase fire behavior this afternoon. Smoke will be visible from surrounding communities. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
