Wildfire Status:

The Red Rock Fire, detected on September 2, 2024, is currently active and has grown to approximately 3,055 acres, with only 14% of its perimeter contained. Located about two miles east of the Yellowjacket Guard Station within the Salmon-Cobalt Ranger District, the fire is predominantly burning through Douglas fir and lodgepole pine.
