Rock Fire shows significant containment progress reaching 29-37% contained with 2,792 acres burned. Nearly 877-900 personnel continue firefighting efforts. Zone WM-07 remains under Level 2 'Set' evacuation status. Crews focus on strengthening containment lines on eastern side and northern section.

Lightning-caused Rock Fire ignites at 12:37 a.m. near Tamarack Resort, approximately 1.5 miles south of the resort. Fire is one of several lightning-caused fires that started between evening of August 12 and early morning August 13 across Boise and Payette National Forests.
