Brady Fire Prescott NF (AZPNF)

Wildfire Status:

The Brady Fire, which ignited on February 10, 2025, has currently burned approximately 363 acres in the Prescott National Forest, near the community of Pine Flat, Arizona. As of the latest report, the fire is 49% contained. The reduction in the estimated size of the fire is attributed to more precise mapping of its perimeter. Smoke may be visible in surrounding communities as dry fuels continue to feed the fire. To ensure the safety of residents and firefighters, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office has closed County Road 177 leading into Pine Flat.

Firefighting efforts are ongoing, with 83 personnel actively engaged in managing the situation. The incident commander, Charles Ebert, is overseeing operations, which are currently focused on monitoring fire behavior and minimizing spread. Fire activity has been characterized as minimal, with backing and creeping fire behavior noted. The estimated containment date is projected for March 7, 2025.

Current weather conditions are favorable for firefighting efforts, with mostly cloudy skies and an 80% chance of precipitation expected. Snow is likely in the morning, transitioning to rain in the afternoon as a storm system moves through the area. This precipitation is anticipated to further reduce fire activity in the coming days, with minimal spread projected due to the incoming weather system.
