Wildfire Status:
The Grove Fire, located 65 miles south of St. George, Utah, in the Mount Dellenbaugh area, is currently 100% contained. The fire, which was reported on July 14, 2024, is 27 acres in size. Fire crews from BLM Arizona Strip District, along with partner agencies and municipal crews, are working to suppress this lightning-caused wildfire. The response to the fire includes resources such as Type 6 engines, Type 3 engine, Type 2 crews, and a Type 3 incident team.
Other fires being suppressed in the area include the Quail Springs Fire, Gulch Fire, and Cane Springs Fire. The Quail Springs Fire covers 1,508 acres with a containment of 45%, while the Gulch Fire spans 926 acres with a containment of 90%. The Cane Springs Fire, reported on July 17, is 236 acres and is fully contained.
