Wildfire Status:

The Little Jo Fire is currently 100% contained and is estimated to be 101 acres in size. The fire was reported on July 13, 2024, and is located 30 miles south of St. George on the Arizona Strip Field Office. One engine is currently on patrol to monitor the area. Fire crews are also working to suppress the lightning-caused Grove Fire on Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, which is 27 acres in size and 80% contained.

The response to the fire includes BLM Arizona Strip District crews, partner agencies, and municipal crews working to suppress four wildland fires in the area south of St. George, Utah. The Gulch Fire, Quail Springs Fire, and Grove Fire are also being actively managed by fire crews. The containment levels for each fire range from 15% to 100%, with resources like engines, smokejumpers, and incident commanders being deployed to manage the fires.
