Turkey Track (CO0212)

Wildfire Status:

The Turkey Track wildfire, located 8 miles north of Woodland Park, Colorado, is currently active and has burned approximately 128 acres of grass and dead trees. The fire is classified as a Type 4 Incident, and as of the latest update, 100% of its perimeter has been contained. The incident started on April 12, 2025, and is being managed by Incident Commander Aaron Lund, with a total of 31 personnel involved in the response efforts.

Fire agencies are actively monitoring the situation and have reported minimal fire behavior. The current weather conditions include a wind event affecting the area, but forecasts suggest that conditions will moderate after this event, which should help reduce the potential for further fire growth. The fire management team is planning to transition control to an incident command team of Type 4 by the end of the current shift, with an estimated containment date set for April 16, 2025.
