2025 - Table Rock Complex (SCSCS)

Wildfire Status:

The Table Rock Complex, located approximately 20 miles northwest of Greenville, South Carolina, is currently active and encompasses two main fires: the Table Rock Fire and the Persimmon Ridge Fire. As of April 2, 2025, the Table Rock Fire has burned 13,845 acres and is 91% contained, while the Persimmon Ridge Fire has affected 2,128 acres and is 99% contained. This brings the total area impacted by the complex to 15,973 acres, with an overall containment of 92%.

Fire response teams, comprising 346 personnel, are actively engaged in suppression efforts. The Blue Team is managing the situation under a unified command that includes cooperation from both North and South Carolina. Recent rainfall has significantly reduced fire activity, as the moisture has helped to mitigate some of the fire's intensity. However, the fire continues to smolder through debris from past hurricanes and fallen logs. Despite the rainfall, some light smoke is still present, particularly as it interacts with low cloud cover.

Weather conditions are currently favorable for firefighting efforts, with cloudy skies and passing showers expected to continue. Temperatures are predicted to drop into the high 50s, and humidity levels are anticipated to recover to between 80% and 90% overnight. Looking ahead, light precipitation is expected on Thursday, followed by a high-pressure system moving in by Friday, which could influence fire behavior if fuels start to dry out. Fire agencies remain vigilant as they continue to monitor the situation and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve containment objectives.
