2025 - Table Rock Complex (SCSCS)

Wildfire Status:

The Table Rock Complex fire, located approximately 20 miles northwest of Greenville, South Carolina, comprises two active fires: the Table Rock Fire and the Persimmon Ridge Fire. As of April 4, 2025, the Table Rock Fire spans 13,845 acres and is 94% contained, while the Persimmon Ridge Fire covers 2,128 acres and is 99% contained. Overall, the complex has affected 15,973 acres and is currently 97% contained. The incident, which began on March 24, 2025, is being managed by Incident Commander Charlie Patterson, with a total of 165 personnel deployed to combat the flames.

Weather conditions have played a crucial role in mitigating fire activity recently. Light, misty rainfall has contributed to the saturation of fine fuels, significantly reducing the fire's intensity. The rainfall persisted throughout much of the morning and early afternoon, limiting fire behavior to slowly burning debris and fallen logs. However, concerns remain regarding potential ground fire due to substantial dead and down materials from previous wildfires and hurricane damage in the area. The presence of low cloud cover has also helped to suppress visible smoke.

Fire agencies continue to monitor the situation closely, with resources instructed to report any signs of fire activity, particularly in areas with heavy debris. With the current containment efforts and favorable weather conditions, the estimated date for full containment is projected for April 5, 2025. As conditions remain stable, fire officials are optimistic about the ongoing efforts to fully extinguish the Table Rock Complex fires.
