2025 - Table Rock Complex (SCSCS)

Wildfire Status:

The Table Rock Complex, located approximately 20 miles northwest of Greenville, South Carolina, consists of two active wildfires: the Table Rock Fire and the Persimmon Ridge Fire. As of the latest updates, both fires are fully contained, with the Table Rock Fire covering 13,845 acres and the Persimmon Ridge Fire covering 2,128 acres. The total area affected by the complex is 15,973 acres, all of which is now 100% contained. The containment was successfully achieved due to favorable weather conditions, including substantial rainfall that has saturated fine fuels and prevented further fire spread.

Fire agencies, led by Incident Commander Trey Cox, have reported minimal fire activity following the significant rain. With the area being completely burned out, no active fire suppression efforts are currently required for either fire. The outlook for incident activity remains stable, with no anticipated changes in the next 72 hours. Planned actions for both the Table Rock Fire and Persimmon Ridge Fire are currently non-existent, indicating that fire agencies are transitioning to monitoring the area rather than engaging in active firefighting.

The current weather conditions have played a crucial role in the successful containment of the fires. The substantial moisture in the environment has made it challenging for any remaining fuels, such as dead and down materials from previous wildfires and hurricane damage, to ignite. Firefighters have effectively managed the situation, and the focus has now shifted to ensuring that the containment lines remain secure and monitoring the area for any signs of rekindling.
